Urinary Tract Cleanse & Protect: the evidence behind the formula
Executive summary
Urinary Tract Cleanse & Protect is built around Anthocran Phytosome, a standardized cranberry extract designed for absorption. This page summarizes the published research we reference and the context of Semaine's own observed data.
The wording on this page follows our published clinical resource exactly. For the full context, use the link to our Clinical Studies page.
Formulation rationale
Why this formula
Anthocran Phytosome is a standardized cranberry extract built for absorption. Cranberry phytosome may help support urinary tract health and comfort. Hibiscus is a botanical traditionally associated with urinary tract health.
These describe the compounds and how the formula is designed. They are descriptions of composition and structure/function, not claims that the product treats, prevents, or cures any infection.

Semaine study context
In a five-month consumer perception study of 48 women aged 40 and over, participants reported improvements over time, including 89% reporting improvement in urinary environment and 89% reporting improvement in bladder comfort. In a 2024 RCT published in Nutrients, daily supplementation with 120mg of cranberry phytosome significantly modulated the frequency of urinary tract episodes compared to placebo in postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes taking SGLT-2 inhibitors, a population at substantially elevated urinary tract risk.
Funding disclosure: Semaine's study of this formula was a consumer perception study, independently conducted by Citrus Labs and funded by Semaine.
