Urology, female sexual medicine and urinary dysfunction

Dr. Barbara Chubak is a urologist and Associate Professor of Clinical Urology at Weill Cornell Medicine, practicing at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Her clinical focus is sexual dysfunction and voiding dysfunction, with particular attention to the needs of women and historically underserved patients, alongside comorbid pelvic pain syndromes. She earned her medical degree and a master's in the history of medicine from Johns Hopkins University, completed urology residency at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed fellowships in bioethics and sexual medicine at Cleveland Clinic. She holds certifications in prosthetic surgery from the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and in vulvoscopy from the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health, and has authored peer-reviewed articles on female sexual dysfunction, sexual medicine pharmacotherapy, and the history and ethics of genital surgery.
